2012-2013 Christmas Tree Recycling Program a Success

HWP Herwood Inc. Pallets has been recycling Christmas trees since 2008 in partnership with the MRC du Val-Saint-François. Instead of taking up space in the local landfill, thousands of trees were picked up by the MRC and delivered to the Herwood plant to be processed. The resulting wood chips will be used to create products such as garden mulch, particle board and animal bedding. Herwood is proud to be giving back to the community and looks forward to seeing the program continue into its fifth year.
